Dong Jinling
Dong Jinling (b.1986), graduated from Yunnan University in 2008 with a degree in Art History. She currently lives and works in Beijing. Using performance, installation, and painting as her primary mediums, Dong constructs a space where the spiritual and the realistic intersect, presenting beauty, blessings, and resistance. In her daily life, Dong blends into the crowd as an ordinary labor, and her art bears the distinct imprint of her personal life experiences. Her work reflects a steadfast pursuit of individuality and free will. Her creations exude a poetic sensibility rooted in reality marked by restraint, silence, and a sense of detachment, ultimately leading toward a rational care.
